Being proactive can help us to be more relaxed, prepared, and in control, as we are able to establish precautionary steps for potential situations. When people act proactively, they gain a sense of control over their lives. This feeling of control elicits confidence in people that allows them to trust their ability to avoid obstacles and threats. Eliminating fear of failure and future adverse situations has been correlated with reduced anxiety and depression, as well as a more positive self-image and image of the world around us. Lastly, those who approach their career proactively are more likely to try to solve problems, transform their career, and grow financially. Even if an unexpected challenge comes up, proactive workers are more likely to bounce back and recognize the unlimited approaches to rationalizing a situation and finding a solution.
