Acceptable Use Policy

1.                Introduction to IAMYIAM

1.1             We provide our platform online at and via the iamYiam mobile application to let users connect with each other and with practitioners  (the “Platform“). When providing the Platform we want to ensure that you and other users use it as we would wish and in a way that helps us keep it available for you. To assist with this we ask you to accept and agree to follow this Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) at all times when using the Platform.

1.2             The Terms and Conditions available at and also on the iamYiam mobile application apply to your use of the Platform. Failure to comply with this Policy constitutes a material breach of the Terms of Use.

1.3             We may amend this Policy from time to time. Every time you wish to use our Platform, please check this Policy to ensure you understand the terms that apply at that time. This Policy was most recently updated on 11 October 2019.

1.4             In these Terms “iamYiam”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean iamYiam Limited, a company incorporated in England and Wales with company number 09670819 and with registered address C43, 5 New Union Square, Ambassador Building, Embassy Gardens, London, SW11 7BQ. 2.                Expected Behaviours

2.1             You agree to use the Platform in a diligent, proper and lawful manner and to ensure that such use does not violate any applicable local, state, national or international law or regulation or any rights of third parties (including trade mark, trade secret, copyright or other proprietary rights).

2.2             We reserve the right to revoke or suspend your access to the Platform if you violate, or we suspect you to have violated, this Policy.

Prohibited Uses

2.3             When using the Platform, you must not:

(a)             send, knowingly receive, upload, download, use or re-use any material which does not comply with our content standards as set out in Clause 3 below;

(b)             upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising, promotional materials, “junk mail”, “spam”, “chain letters”, “pyramid schemes”, or other equivalent form of solicitation;

(c)              reproduce, duplicate, copy or re-sell any part of the Platform;

(d)             attempt to use multiple identities or create multiple accounts;

(e)             impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity on the Platform;

(f)               share your password, login details and/or access to the Platform with other people or attempt to transfer an account on the Platform or any part of it to another person;

(g)             upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any content that infringes any intellectual property rights or confidentiality rights of any party;

2.4             Any content you upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available on the Platform must not:

(a)             be content you do not have a right to make available under any law or under contractual or fiduciary relationships (such as inside information, proprietary and confidential information learned or disclosed as part of employment relationships);

(b)             disclose personal information of any person without their consent; or

(c)              disclose sensitive personal data (as defined in the GDPR) whether or not with consent.


2.5             You must at all times ensure that your password to the Platform is secure, private to you, and changed regularly.

2.6             You must not:

(a)             upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available on the Platform any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications equipment;

(b)             interfere with or disrupt the Platform or servers or networks connected to the Platform, or disobey any requirements, procedures, policies or regulations of networks connected to the Platform;

(c)              modify, translate, create derivative copies of or copy the Platform, in whole or in part, or combine or merge the Platform with any other object code or program; or

(d)             reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise reduce the object code of the Platform to source code form.

3.                CONTENT STANDARDS

3.1             The following content standards apply to any and all material which you contribute to our Platform (a “Contribution”), and to any interactive services associated with it. They must be complied with in spirit as well as to the letter. The standards apply to each part of any Contribution as well as to its whole.

3.2             A Contribution must:

(a)             be accurate (where it states facts);

(b)             be genuinely held (where it states opinions); and

(c)              comply with the law applicable in England and Wales and in any country from which it is posted.

3.3             A Contribution must not:

(a)             be defamatory of any person;

(b)             be obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory;

(c)              bully, insult, intimidate or humiliate;

(d)             promote sexually explicit material;

(e)             include child sexual abuse material;

(f)               promote violence;

(g)             promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age;

(h)             infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person;

(i)               be likely to deceive any person;

(j)               breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence;

(k)              promote any illegal activity;

(l)               be in contempt of court;

(m)            be threatening, abuse or invade another’s privacy, or cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;

(n)             be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person;

(o)             give the impression that the Contribution emanates from iamYiam, if this is not the case;

(p)             advocate, promote, incite any party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act such as (by way of example only) copyright infringement or computer misuse;

(q)             contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism; or

(r)               contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites.

4.                Breach of this Policy

4.1             Failure to comply with this Policy may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

(a)             immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use our Platform;

(b)             immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any Contribution uploaded by you to our Platform;

(c)              issue of a warning to you;

(d)             legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach;

(e)             further legal action against you; or

(f)               disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.

4.2             We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to breaches of this Policy. The actions we may take are not limited to those described above, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.
